Temperature/Fever -- Fever must be below 100° F for 24 hours without acetaminophen/Tylenol or ibuprofen/Motrin to reduce temperature.
If a child was sent home by the building nurse due to a fever, they should NOT return to school for at least 24 hours. If they return to school the next day, parents will be notified to come and pick up their child.
Rash--NO symptoms and/or a note from the doctor stating that the student is not contagious or that treatment has been started.
Vomiting or diarrhea -- Child needs to be eating their normal diet without vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours.
Eye Drainage -- No drainage OR a doctor’s note stating they are not contagious. If medication was prescribed and there is no doctor's note, the student may return 24 hours after starting treatment.
Head Lice -- Must undergo a lice treatment AND have no live lice. Student will need to check with the nurse's office before going to class each day for 3 days and then every other day for 7 days. Parent's are not required to bring their student to the nurse's office for these checks. Students will be allowed to ride the bus to and from school.
Strep Throat -- Must be on antibiotics for 24 hours before returning to school or a have a doctor's note stating that the student can return before the 24 hours.
