Parents as Teachers

Parents as Teachers is an organization that strives to support and educate the families of young children in the Lincoln County R-III School District. Families who have children prenatal thru Kindergarten entry are eligible to receive PAT services. The services include weekly or bi-monthly home visits, group connections, and screenings. Currently, the PAT program is providing home visits to families who are experiencing a life circumstance that would consider them high needs or at-risk. If you are interested in applying for home visits please complete this application PAT Application and return to 1601 S. Main Street. After receiving your application we will contact you regarding your eligibility to receive visits.
Developmental Screening

Every child ages 6 months to Kindergarten entry living in the Lincoln County R-III School District is eligible to receive ONE complete developmental screening each year. The screening can be done by the child’s Parent Educator or one of the screeners employed by the school. Day and evening appointments are available. Every preschool in the district including the Early Childhood Education Center are offered these screenings to their currently enrolled children. Parents are also encouraged to call and schedule a screening if their child does not attend a preschool or receive PAT home visits. Each screening takes approximately 1 hour and includes all areas of development.
