SCHOOL WILL BE BACK IN NORMAL SESSION ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 30TH!
HAVE A GREAT THANKSGIVING BREAK!
PLEASE CONGRATULATE OUR STUDENTS OF THE WEEK!
SENIOR STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Name: Lilly Walker
Nominated by: Mr. Dildine
Reason for Nomination: “Lilly is a senior who doesn’t think herself special at all. She gets up every day, takes care of herself, makes her own meals, goes to work, gets good grades, has been accepted into college, works 30 hours a week at Walmart, and even participates in Color Guard. She takes the time to brighten the day of every teacher she has. Sounds like a typical teenager, right?? Lilly does it completely on her own. She is self-reliant and even pays for her own orthodontics. She is incredible. I have so much admiration for her--I just wanted her to know how amazing she is!”
JUNIOR STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Name: Ashland Higgins
Nominated by: Mr. McCrory
Reason for Nomination: “Ashland Higgins (and Karson Calvin) represented the Troy FFA Chapter at the 2020 Virtual National FFA Convention in which our chapter was nominated for the Model of Excellence Award, placing our chapter in the top 10 out of more than 8,500 chapters for things we do to Grow Leaders, Building Communities and Strengthening Agriculture. Ashland stood out by demonstrating her enthusiasm and pride in our chapter while representing our membership throughout a fifteen minute presentation highlighting the activities that the Troy FFA Chapter did throughout the year.”
SOPHOMORE STUDENT OF THE WEEK
Name: Madison Schieffer
Nominated by: Mrs. Mense
Reason for Nomination: “Madison always has a positive attitude and I am impressed by her hard work ethic. She is able to look beyond her circumstances and pushes herself forward to continue to excel. She is also kind to those around her and she contributes to her group to increase understanding.”
