Return to Learn Plan 2020-2021

July 22, 2020
LCR3 Families and Community,
Last night, District administration presented the Return to Learn Plan for the 2020-2021 school year in response to the on-going COVID19 pandemic to the Board of Education. You can find the comprehensive plan at
It has been a long time since March when we were last able to see your students in-person, and we miss them, are worried about them, and are excited for the next opportunity to teach and care for them. However, we also know that returning to our school buildings will be worrisome for many. I assure you that the safety of all was, and remains to be, at the top of mind for all individuals that served on the task force assigned to creating our Return to Learn plan.
We know that the best course forward will look different for each family and child. Therefore, we are asking you to complete the Return to Learn Selection Form for each child in your household,, no later than July 29.
You will also be receiving an e-mail from our student information system requesting you to complete our annual Back to School Forms. These forms, requesting up-to-date contact, health, and transportation information, are more important than ever to help the District prepare for the upcoming year. Please keep an eye on your inbox and complete these as soon as possible.
As you review the Return to Learn documents, it is important to note that the planning process has been and continues to be fluid. As the situation around COVID19 continues to change, so must our plans. Know that the District will continue to collaborate with local and state agencies and is prepared to pivot in the coming weeks and months to suit the situation at hand.
While the task force did their best to make these documents as comprehensive as possible, there are still questions left to answer and questions that we don't yet know to ask. Please help us to provide the most timely and accurate answers to your questions by using this form: This will also help us continue the conversation and compile an FAQ document around our Return to Learn planning.
Thank you again for your continued support, patience, and partnership as we have navigated through this unprecedented situation together. We look forward to serving our students and our community during the 2020-2021 school year.
Mark S. Penny
