The Lincoln County R‐III School District Latchkey Program was developed in 2008 due to the implementation of a tiered bus system and to answer the needs of our working parents. We strive to provide a safe and supportive environment that encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth.
Program hours at our 7 elementary schools are from 6:00 am to the beginning of our school day and the end of our school day to 6:00 pm. Early Childhood Education hours are from 6:30 am to beginning of preschool, 4-5:15 pm for the community. We do offer an afterschool snack to our students enrolled. If your child has a food allergy, please be sure to let us know.
The role of you, the parent, is vital to our program. It is critical that the partnership between home, school, and Latchkey is strong and "on the same page." We want to be consistent and have positive communication with you in regard to your child's time in Latchkey.
Implementing the 3-tier school hours for the 21-22 School Year requires looking at the correct billing information for your student's building. Please be sure to reach out to our office with questions or concerns.
*Starting September 15th, Latchkey will be implementing a waitlist at locations where the student enrollment ratio to staff is high. This will assist us in reaching our objective of giving your family a fun safe before and after school program while under our care. We encourage you to still enroll should you need services, and within 48 hours, you will receive an email letting you know if your student has been accepted with your start date or that your student has been placed on a waitlist for that elementary building.
