At LCR3, technology helps us learn, create, collaborate, and make a positive impact. Being a digital citizen means using technology in ways that help yourself and others.

Use technology in healthy and responsible ways.

I will make time for learning, hobbies, family, and friends both online and offline. I know it is important to take breaks from screens.

Know when it’s time to unplug and be present offline.

I will put my device away when a teacher, parent, or activity needs my full attention.

Think critically about what I see online.

I will ask questions about videos, pictures, and stories I see online. I understand that not everything online is true.

Check sources and ask questions before sharing information.

I will make sure information comes from a trusted source before I use it or share it with others. If I am unsure, I will ask an adult for help.

Treat others with kindness and respect online.

I will use kind words in online communication. I will help others feel safe and included online.

Include different perspectives and communicate thoughtfully.

I will listen to other people’s ideas, even when they are different from mine.

Use technology to create, solve problems, and contribute positively.

I will use my device to learn new things, create projects, and help others. I will try to make a positive difference.

Use my iPad and online tools to support learning and collaboration.

I will work with classmates respectfully and use technology to share ideas and learn together.

Protect my passwords and personal information.

I will keep my passwords private and not share personal information online. I will tell a trusted adult if something online makes me uncomfortable.

Speak up if something online feels unsafe, harmful, or wrong.

I will report bullying, unsafe behavior, suspicious messages, or inappropriate content to an adult. I will help create safe online spaces for everyone.

Bring my iPad charged and ready to learn.

I will come to school prepared with my school-issued device each day. 

Keep it protected, clean, and in its case.

I will handle my iPad carefully and keep food, drinks, and rough play away from it.

Use school technology responsibly and follow teacher directions.

I will use my device for learning and follow directions during class activities.
