LCR3 Earns Accreditation with 2025 Annual Performance Report (APR) Results

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) released the 2025 Annual Performance Report results for all Missouri districts in early November. The Lincoln County R-III School District received a 75%, a .5% increase from 2024. 

DESE's APR evaluates Missouri students and schools based on state standards. It is part of the Missouri School Improvement Plan (MSIP) 6 and is one way parents and communities assess districts. The report includes performance and continuous improvement metrics, and it considers how districts serve all students and student groups. The APR is the primary factor in a district’s accreditation status.

The 2025 APR academic data is based on the 2024-25 Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) testing cycle. 

Areas of Celebration

• For the second year in a row, our district's Math and Science scores outperformed state averages, while ELA scores remained steady.
• For continuous improvement, the District earned 96.6% of available points. 
• LCR3’s graduation rate remains well above the state average, and conversely, our dropout rate remains lower. 
• LCR3’s ACT composite also remains above the state average. 

The District has identified opportunities for improvement in overall student growth and, critically, student attendance. 

The APR data highlights the critical link between attendance and academic growth. Reports examining statistically significant correlations in state APR data indicate that districts with the greatest APR gains were also those improving attendance rates. Simply put, when students are in school, they learn more.

Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Matt Frederickson, noted, “LCR3 will implement a renewed, district-wide approach to address attendance issues. For several years, LCR3 has earned only about half of our points for attendance on the district report card. While student attendance is a key factor in how schools earn state financial support, more importantly, consistent attendance is vital for student engagement, achievement, and success in life.”
