Summer Reading Program Home

The much anticipated Summer Reading Program is almost here!  The program runs from June 1-July 31 and features the theme: All Together Now.  Throughout the summer, we'll be using this theme as we learn how a community can work together.

This year’s program is for ALL age groups (0-100+). Age groups are divided into 3 categories:

Ages 0-5th Grade (Children)

6th Grade-12th Grade (Teens & Tweens)

Ages 18+ (Adults)

Reading Challenges:

Ages 0-5th Grade: Participants receive a reading log.  They may track whether they read pictures or chapter books.  For each book read, they will receive tickets to the prize store.  Continue reading ALL summer long to get more prizes!  There's no limit on the number of age-appropriate books you can read.  In addition to the prize store tickets, there's a pool party on August 5 from 7:30-9:30 for participants/families who reach 20 books.  (Each chapter book=3 tickets/points.)

Completed 6th Grade-12th Grade:  Participants will track books read.  Receive a raffle ticket for each book.  Put the tickets in a raffle for a $50 gift card to the following stores: Target, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Academy Sports, Bass Pro, and Lululemon.  The drawing will be held on August 1.

Adults (18+):  Participants will track books read.  Receive a raffle ticket for each book.  Put the tickets in a raffle for a $50 gift card to the following stores: Target, Amazon, Wal-Mart, Caseys, Chihuahau's Mexican Restaurant, and Kevlar Coffee. The drawing will be held on August 1.
